East is such a fun dog! Anyone who meets him can’t help but love him! He is a natural bird dog with a loooonnggg nose that he gets from his grandpa, Shooter. He backs with as much intensity as he points! He is a water and retrieving machine which he gets from his daddy, Thunder.

Unfortunately, he suffered from a very serious injury in the field in which he broke his neck. Its a miracle this guy is alive and we are so blessed to still have him with us. This serious injury prevented him from hunting his first wild bird season as a young puppy. So when he finally got to hunt wild birds he had a lot to learn! Through his first season of hunting he learned a lot and made leaps and bounds of progress figuring out his purpose in the field. From finding and pointing spent shot gun shells and then carrying them around in the field the beginning of the season as a goofy, immature bird dog, to finishing the season at the top of the pack with more bird finds, points and retrieves than most dogs he hunted with. His quirky personality makes you fall in love with him even more!

Now that he isn’t a silly little puppy anymore, he is turning heads and impressing everyone who gets to hunt behind him.

Ethan and Kat Pippitt are the proud owners of Standing Stone Kennels. They both have a love for the outdoors and a real passion for training dogs. Ethan and Kat are both involved in developing and training each dog. They each bring their own special skill set to the table when it comes to training dogs! Kat loves puppies and makes sure each dog gets a healthy dose of love and affection every day. Ethan loves to hunt and guide with the dogs, which really puts the finishing touches on each dog’s training. Together, they breed top quality German Shorthair Pointers and provide each customer with an exceptional experience.
